Dear Joanna,
I hope celebrating your birthday here in New York doesn't have an affect on you with you not being home to hear your family singing Happy Birthday To You. I noticed how you seemed to miss Europe during your first few weeks here in the office but you have settled into our madness, rush, cold city. I have also noticed your confidence building with speaking and understanding our confusing langauage of English. You have certainly been a bright spot here in the office and so I hope your birthday returns to you the cheer that you have given others. GO TO CENTRAL PARK !!! WEAR YOUR THICK SWEATER AND ENJOY THE SOUNDS OF MUSIC!! If that man of yours is as intelligent as I imagine him to be,there may be an engagement ring coming your way during the playing of the orchestra! Hey! You never know!!
Happy Birthday,
Ray
